NCADD Sacramento is very pleased to offer a six-week class on “Artworking the Steps – The Altered Book” with guest instructor Dena McKitrick.  This course is designed for individuals in recovery and AOD professionals (earn 12 CEU’s). Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings at NCADD’s facility in Sacramento.

No previous art training is required!

In each of the six sessions, participants will explore a new art material and/or art process as they play and discover their favorite creative outlet in a safe and perfection-free place.  Each class is designed to take the “artist” through the 12 Steps, providing an opportunity to express feelings, commitments and hope through the creation of their own Altered Book.

Daughter of the Moon, by Dena McKitrick

“Creative expression is my lifeblood. Doing art is somewhere at the very center of my being. It is not only what I do; it is who I am. It is the magic that binds my life together, and helps me to make sense of it all. It is a joyous, wonderful experience for me; a constantly expanding adventure that I feel compelled to include in my daily life. It is borne of my conscious connection to True Source.”   – Dena McKitrick
