NCADD-Sacramento, in partnership with the Sacramento County Alcohol & Drug Advisory Board, will hold their annual awards event in Sacramento to celebrate leaders in the addiction recovery arena.
The Sober Cinco Dinner & Awards will take place on Thursday, May 3rd, and tickets can now be purchased online.
The call for nominations has gone out to addiction recovery providers throughout the region in three award categories:
- Bernie Breining Award for Visionary Leadership – nominee must have demonstrated capacity to bring innovative approaches to the AOD field and consistently demonstrated leadership, accomplishment and encouragement of recovery in the community.
- Jerome Lackner Award for Excellence in Service – nominee must have started or maintained with excellence and altruism programs in treatment, prevention, or education as it relates to individual or family recovery from the disease of addiction.
- Barbara Woodard Award for Outstanding Volunteer – nominee must have demonstrated a unique capacity for selfless service in supporting the work of NCADD-Sacramento and the community it serves.
Nominations can be submitted online and must be received by April 19th.
The awards will be presented on May 3rd at the Sober Cinco Dinner & Awards Night. The evening will also include a silent auction, and a guest speaker who will explore the complex issues surrounding the use of medication in recovery from addiction.
