NCADD Sacramento will again host the Annual Awards Ceremony and Dinner on October 4th, and is now accepting nominations in the Bernie Breining Visionary Leadership Award category. The nominee must have demonstrated innovative approaches to the AOD field.
Barbara Thompson’s comprehensive career in the field of addiction and recovery started 34 years ago when she joined the NCADD Bay Area staff as a trainer of trainers. In her position as Executive Director of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence in the Sacramento region, she is a passionate advocate for prevention of substance abuse and recovery from addiction for individuals and their families.
The next faith-based Strengthening Families Program will occur at Theodore Judah Elementary School in Folsom. Partners Folsom’s Hope and NCADD Sacramento are currently seeking volunteers to assist with this exciting new venture.
