As the year comes to a close, I would like to express my gratitude for the caring and talented team at NCADD-Sacramento. Their skills and dedication enable us to make a difference in the lives of people living with addiction.

I also want to thank the many volunteers that staff our programs and help out in our Playcare. The compassion and understanding shown by our volunteers provides much value to our services. Thanks extend as well to our hard-working Board of Directors who are as passionate about our mission as we are.

Along with many organizations and businesses, we are collecting toys and gently used items for families over the Holidays. The women in our Options For Recovery program have 108 children between them, we obviously have a great need to fill there. We all know that the need does not end with the New Year, so we have created a new page on our website (Support NCADD Sacramento) to show community members the many ways they can support our work throughout the year.

Please visit the page and learn more about our Playcare Wish List. Our clients are more likely to make use of our services if they have a safe place for their children to play while they are participating in our programs. We need to replace some of the toys and art supplies that keep our guests busy!

Sign up to Be a Volunteer. You will certainly make a difference in the lives of people who are taking important steps to recover from addiction.

We would also appreciate financial support and the new web page can accept your online donation to our 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. For example, your $100 donation will fund one month of treatment for a family living with addiction. Take a look around our website at and you will learn more about the many services we provide that would benefit from your support.

Your safety and wellness is our wish for this Holiday season. We look forward to working together in the New Year to provide the education, prevention and treatment services we are well-known for.
