Melissa Zapata joined the Board of Directors for NCADD-Sacramento in late 2014.  She is a graduate of Rowan University with a BA in Law/Justice.

Previously, Ms. Zapata worked as a Probation/Parole Officer for the Department of Corrections in the state of Florida.  She also served as a Litigation Specialist for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.

“I joined the NCADD Board because I have a passion for helping people with drug and or alcohol dependence. My interests truly lie in setting up ways for individuals and families to gain knowledge and a plan for a drug and alcohol free lifestyle.”

Melissa has first-hand experience having been raised by an alcoholic and overcoming the disease herself.  She has been married for 17 years and has a 16 year-old daughter and a 13 year-old son.

NCADD-Sacramento is very pleased to have the service of Melissa Zapata on our Board of Directors.
