Although the wind was whipping and the storms were raging this past Sunday, inside the sanctuary at Victory Outreach Church of South Sacramento, everything was calm and peaceful. Sunday was the day that the church officially celebrated the end of their 3 month run of the Strengthening Families Christian Companion.
Twenty-one families graduated from the 10 week series. As families emerged stronger and better equipped to balance the stress with the joys of family life, those of us from NCADD Sacramento emerged with a deep appreciation for the role that faith can play in growing healthy families and nurturing strong connections.
As the journey toward completing the faith based adaptation continues, we will never forget the families that we’ve had the joy and honor of walking with on this journey.
